The Moon Island

Description:

Qin Chaoyi is a famously brilliant writer in the industry. But because she’s been single since birth, she’s terrible at writing romance. Her editor shows up at her door begging her to add a love line to her new book. After trying her best and failing, Qin Chaoyi decides to leave the city.

On the day she leaves, she receives a text message:

“If you want to see me, come to Moon Island.”

The sender is her grandmother, whom she hasn’t seen in years.

Moon Island is surrounded by sea on all sides, a simple and idyllic “peach blossom paradise.” A single ferry ticket brings Qin Chaoyi there. On her first night on the island, she kisses a girl by the sea.

Her grandmother’s house happens to be near that girl’s home. At night, Qin Chaoyi throws pebbles into the girl’s yard; she wakes up half an hour early to walk her dog; she drives half an hour to buy the freshest roses—only to hear that the girl has long been engaged.

Heartbroken, Qin Chaoyi sits alone on the reef that night, basking in the moonlight. In the stillness, someone wraps their arms around her from behind and whispers in her ear, “You’re not going to take responsibility after kissing me?”

Luo Yue grew up on Moon Island. Gentle and well-behaved, she is beloved by the islanders. Qin Chaoyi is flamboyant and strikingly beautiful. On her first day on the island, everyone warns Luo Yue to stay away from this “outsider.”

But no one knows that the night Qin Chaoyi kissed her, Luo Yue dreamed sweet dreams all night long.

It’s a secret: she likes girls.

On Moon Island, they share the most romantic dreams together.

【Mini Theater】

When popular author Qin Chaoyi is interviewed by the media, a reporter asks: “A year ago, you were still hopeless at romance, yet your new book has become a sensation, so sweet that readers say they want to get married on the spot. Do you think your writing skills have improved?”

Qin Chaoyi answers without hesitation: “No skills. All the inspiration comes from my wife.”

That day, “Qin Chaoyi + wife” trends across the internet. Qin Chaoyi posts her wedding dress photos, indirectly making their relationship public.

That night, Luo Yue breathes softly into Qin Chaoyi’s ear, sounding aggrieved. “Wife, how come I didn’t know you went to take wedding photos?”

Qin Chaoyi: “…”

“Can you wear it?” Luo Yue says. “I want to see.”

And so that night, Qin Chaoyi’s newly bought wedding dress… was ruined.

A young, accomplished, high-spirited and glamorous writer “tiger” × a mature, steady, gentle and reserved English teacher who “plays the pig to eat the tiger.”
